At first glance, cities are static entities defined by their material qualities. However, demographic changes, technological advancements and public policy initiatives have shifted the relationship that exists between people and their city. As a result, this necessitates a closer examination of how we can ensure that individuals at all levels opt in and participate in defining the policy priorities which will build the cities of the future.
